Small Flowers Are Better for This Occasion
2018 • 4 mins

A teenage boy's personal journey, from home to a favourite spot by the water's edge.

Small Flowers Are Better for This Occasion is part of Water Features – a series of four documentaries commissioned for the 2018 Perth Festival, as a collaboration between filmmaker Kenta McGrath and West Australian high school students who were asked to respond to the theme 'Water That is Important to You'. The project is an extension of Museum of Water, a collection of publicly donated water and accompanying stories created by UK artist Amy Sharrocks. Small Flowers Are Better for This Occasion was devised and created with students from John Curtin College of the Arts in Fremantle.
